Since SRAM released their T-Type Eagle Transmission in March, Norco has been receiving questions from riders and dealers regarding compatibility with existing bikes.
SRAM’s literature indicates that any bike equipped with a Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH) and is Hangerless Interface compliant can be upgraded to the new T-Type Eagle Transmission.
Hangerless Interface compatibility refers to precise design constraints placed on frame components surrounding the rear derailleur that ensure SRAM’s T-Type Eagle Transmission derailleurs can mount without mechanical interference with the frame.
Because this Hangerless Interface standard was established later in the development of the UDH, it was not considered for early UDH bikes.
Since the launch of the new Fluid FS, every UDH-equipped Norco conforms to Hangerless Interface standards, as will every UDH-equipped Norco we release moving forward.
To help clarify T-Type Eagle Transmission compatibility for riders and dealers surrounding in-line and legacy Norco platforms, we have created the attached compatibility chart, and will backfill Frame specifications on Norco.com spec lists with UDH and Hangerless Interface compatibility.
Once you determine whether the bike you are hoping to upgrade is, in fact, T-Type Eagle Transmission compatible, log onto https://www.sram.com/en/learn/eagle-transmission-welcome-guide/installation-overview for detailed setup instructions.
